About

I’m a pure bred Joburg girl.  I play the role of  a product manager by day and mom, wife, photographer and aspiring blogger by night and weekend.  “Remember when” has given me the opportunity to do the things I love best.  My vision for “Remember when” is that one day you can look back on the moments that were captured, and treasure that time. And in years to come you can celebrate these lasting impressions in your hearts forever. I want to live for today but I want to leave something behind for tomorrow.  I want this blog to be a peep hole into our life and yours.   A souvenir.  A token.  A keepsake of our everyday life.

  1. Stumbled on your blog through … actually now I have no idea who …. but have hung around for a bit today.

    Nice blog, really lovely images.

  2. Started reading your blog through a link on Raising Men’s blog…. Absolutely love your positive outlook on life and children. I have a 7 year old and a 9 month old… and as you didn’t sleep for the first 2 years of my 7 year old son’s life, thus the massive age gap!
    Struggling a bit with having a baby in the house… sheesh! you do forget how much work they are!
    Keep up the great blog!

    1. Thanks for your kind words on my blog!
      Yip having a baby in the house again after such a long break (now it seems like a break, back then it didn’t) is a little shock to the system. I found it got a little easier after the 18 month mark….you’re half way there :)

    2. Siempre he opinado que Venecia irradia majestuosidad y opulencia durante el carnaval …..esos bailes en salones privados ,esos palacios fastuosos con sus invitados inaccesibles que nos trasladan a otra época ,resultan tan apetecibles y a la vez tan distantes que sólo nos queda imaginar que a lo mejor algún día también nosotros podremos escondernos tras esas maravillosas mÃa.rac¡s..sUn abrazo enorme.

    1. Ouvrir un débat sur l&;otuoréducaqisn en faisant encore des fautes qui sont résolues normalement à la fin de l’école primaire c’est problématique !!!! Une révision complète du bescherelle s’impose !@tairusu

    1. , “Oh, wouldn’t it be a good idea to have austerity?” No, they had a gun to their head. They were forced to do this because the markets would not continue to lend, and even now their interest rate is again rising. The markets are losing confidence, and unless the ECB prints some more money and bails them out some more, they are going to have austerity. So the austerity upon us is the backside of the debt supercycle we had for the past thirty years. It’s not din1retiosary.&#822c;

  3. Hi Fiona :) Just stumbled across your blog (did a Google image search for Rockey Street & your pic of Docs with red laces caught my eye!) Really enjoy your refreshingly candid & modern perspective on motherhood (your recent ‘I am not that mom’ post springs to mind!), & am signing up to receive notifications of new posts as we speak. Warm regards from a fellow Jozi mom blogger (http://jozibelle.blogspot.com/)
